I began blogging in November of 2009 because I live far away from many family and friends. It was a great way for me to record the happenings of my life and share it with those I couldn't be with all the time. I fell in love with it and then last summer got into following craft blogs. It has been so fun, inspiring, and encouraging to see all the creations out there.
So fun in fact, that I wanted to share what I had been whipping up over time in the hopes that someone else would gain some inspiration to create from the projects. So, in June of 2011 I created this craft blog. I'm learning a lot as I go and I definitely consider myself on a beginner level in both blogging and crafting. I'm not an expert at anything, but I love to try everything! I bought myself a sewing machine a few months before I began this blog and I love to try new things with it and hope to share more of those adventures (they really are adventures too...nothing's easy the first time it seems!) as time goes on.
I am a wife, mother, and high school business computer teacher. I believe in the saving power of Jesus Christ and attend a Wesleyan Church in the town I live in. In my free time I like to work in my flowerbeds, read, and craft...and pretty much in that order, when the weather's cooperating. Up until a year ago I coached high school softball, so I feel like I have a lot more free time than I once did. I soak it up with my son as much as possible. You may be seeing him crop up in some posts. He's two and our only child (hopefully not our only child forever though...we would love to have more). My husband is currently working full time as a tech in my school district and also attending college full time to earn a degree in business technology computer network administration. Yeah, it's a mouthful.
My greatest hope is that you will see something on my blog that inspires you to get out there and create. I love to hear comments (who doesn't, right?) so feel free to leave me some comment love as often as you like!
